Assistant Director of Bands - East Lincoln High School; Director of Bands - East Lincoln Middle School

Jenny is originally from the Lexington area and went to high school at Central Davidson. After high school she attended Appalachian State University (GO APP!) and received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education.

She has been teaching in the high school setting for three and a half years at Wheatmore High School. During her time at Wheatmore, she had the pleasure of directing the concert band, marching band, jazz band, indoor programs, along with solo and ensemble/chamber ensembles. However, she has spent a lot of time in the middle school band room as well. Ms. Beck says she has really enjoyed a great deal of learning, success, and growth as a musician and director during her time at Wheatmore but looks forward to continuing this at East Lincoln.

She is primarily a clarinetist and also proficient on piano and saxophone. She deeply cherishes teaching and sharing her love and excitement for learning and growing in music. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and gardening in her spare time. She says she is also always down for a cup of coffee! She has a Catahoula leopard dog mix named Willow who will be moving with her to the Lincolnton area. She loves car rides, playing frisbee, meeting new people, and cuddles.
